About Grand China Buffet

Located at 27 Franklin Mills Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19154, Grand China Buffet operates as a chinese buffet serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under chinese restaurant, sushi restaurant, teppanyaki restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Grand China Buffet at (215) 632-2100; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is grandchinabuffet.godaddysites.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 3.7 out of 5 from 4,073 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Philadelphia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Definitely 5 stars! We love this buffet. We often come here with friends and kids. It’s the best option when you’re craving something but can’t decide exactly what. There’s a wide selection of diverse dishes here: you can get sushi, or choose from meat dishes or seafood. Kids who know exactly what they want will also happily enjoy pizza, nuggets, and french fries. Afterward, they can treat themselves to ice cream and pastries. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the tables are arranged comfortably. There’s plenty of room for large groups. The dining area and restrooms are always clean, which is important. The staff is friendly and makes an effort to clear used plates from the table promptly. The restaurant is sometimes nearly full, but the staff handles everything well, and you never feel like a forgotten customer. Thank you!

This was our first visit in more than a year, having moved more than an hour away. It's better than ever and we miss this buffet greatly. We used to go weekly and nothing comes close north of Philly. The variety is extensive over eight steam tables plus dessert and salads, not to mention dedicated Sushi and Mongolian hibachi stations.

The food is ok, but unfortunately not up to the excellent level. The assortment is good, but there are few soups. The staff is trying hard to get tips. And if something doesn’t suit them, then they show it with all their appearance. The bill is brought in advance, when the client would still like to sit and eat. But they hint that it’s time for him to finish and leave. But in general, once a week you can come here, alone, or with friends, or even celebrate a birthday here, as some clients do. Convenient location and large parking. I wrote everything honestly as it really is and rated this buffet restaurant exactly as I felt it and described exactly the impressions that I had after my visit there. I came here for dinner alone, ate very little, got a bill for $23.74 and insistently asked for a tip
